Lepe Country park, Hampshire
Lepe Country Park
A wonderful place to visit with all day parking for £5, cafe, toilets and children's play area. Beautiful views of the isle of wight with great long stretches of beach to walk (even more at low tide)As a family we like to spend our time beach combing for shells and other washed up items whilst walking along the coastline. Great day out for all the family even in cooler months.

Jumble sale
If your about Sunday 16th March 2014 and enjoy a good rummage through a load of old jumble, then the WI jumble sale at The Old Basing Village hall, Basingstoke is the place to be. Starting at 2pm with plenty of free parking, delicious cakes and a small entry fee of just 20p your sure to snap up a bargain. I always enjoy this event and end up bringing more toys for the children home even though I am constantly saying we need to declutter!

Vanilla Cupcakes...
Vanilla cup cakes
Try out these super easy to make cupcakes that are tasty and quick to make.
Vanilla cup cakes
Ingredients
120g plain flour
140g caster sugar
1½tsp baking powder
40g butter, at room temperature
120ml whole milk
1 Medium egg
¼tsp vanilla extract
Chuck the flour, sugar, baking powder and butter together in a bowl and mix (I use my hands) makes a very powdery mixture, then in a separate jug/bowl put the milk, eggs and vanilla extract together and whisk with a folk till ingredients are mixed together. Then slowly add the milk mixture to the powdery mixture bit by bit, make sure you mix the mixture so it gets lots of air in it. Then add the mixture to the cupcake cases on a cupcake tray. Fill the cases only half full as these will rise to the top! This recipe makes just over 12 cupcakes. Bake at 170 for 20 minutes. Ensure the cakes are light golden and leave to cool on a wire rack.
vanilla butter icing
250g icing sugar, sifted
80g butter, at room temperature
25ml whole milk
a couple of drops of vanilla extract
Mix the icing sugar and butter together first. Then separately mix the milk and the Vanilla extract together. Now add the milk mixture to the butter mixture slowly. Once all the mixture is mixed together mix it again for another few minutes to make it lighter. This will make a generous amount of icing for all the cupcakes.
